Ethereal by Addison Moore Moving to a new town normally sucks, but it is worse if you move into a house where the previous resident was taken and murdered. This book was a very easy read and kept clicking along nicely. Nothing was too hard to follow or distracting. The writing style was nice and easy read. I found myself easily drawn into the tale and wanting to continue to read. I found some of the story overdone- some things in YA seem a bit cliché by now: moving to a new town…mean clique girl cheerleaders… guys so handsome the protag drools over them…not one but two good looking guys….. this book...

Predestined by Abbi Glines Depth! We finally get some more answers. While I felt like the first book wrapped things up very well and left the reader without any major questions, (beyond the cliffhanger) this book showed that there was so much left unsaid. I didn’t even question any of it in the first book, but here you get answers. It was nice to be filled in on Pagen’s background. That is a great author that can leave you feeling happy with a book but at the same time have so many unanswered questions that you didn’t even know there were. Nice writing. By the end I was left wondering if Leif...

Review: Existence by Abbi Glines Pagan sees souls and most of the time she ignores them- until one talks to her. Not only does he talk, he saves her life. What could Death want from her and can you really change your destiny? I found this was an easy read and everything progressed fast enough to draw me in and keep me reading. I was completely drawn into the story. Sometimes when I read a book, it doesn’t get me hooked right away or it slows down and I get bored and start skimming it. This one did neither which was nice for a change. From the beginning, you find yourself immersed in a world and...

Several of the groups I am on in goodreads have an A-Z challenge for the year, in that you try to read books where the title starts with each letter of the alphabet. I figured that after reading 100 books last year, that sure, I could try this challenge this year. I mean with 100 books, 26 starting with different letters sounds easy…… Well I am on month 4 and find my list is 10/26 done so far. YAH !!! Except now all of the books I want to read have already been used for that letter. Do you know how many book titles start with E, P, and S?? So here’s to actually getting through the alphabet! A B-...

Review: Pantheons: The Game of the Gods by EJ Dabel Isaiah has spent the year training to keep his friends safe only to return and find it didn’t do any good. His friends are dead and the gods are now exposed and playing a game for the dominion. The question is- why, and what does this game mean, and does Isaiah know how to finally face his father? I so liked the last chapter- while it was setting up another book, it was actually explaining a lot of what happened before. It was like being let in on a secret, which was fun, and it made you rethink everything that happened in the book. I am not a...
