Neverworld by E Racine Samantha and Charley end up in an unknown world and are going on an adventure to find her mother. This was an adventure jumping from one adventure to the next. It is a pirate tale in an unknown world. I found the read enjoyable and think even teens as young 12 or 13 would love this book- I know I would have at that age- but then again, I always wanted to try out a pirate ship (until I grew up to dislike boats!!) Searching for Arthur by Donna Hosie Ahh- a King Arthur tale….. just the description had me. I have been a King Arthur fan since I was about ten. And there is...

Golden Blood, Black Blood, Pure Blood by Melissa Pearl This was a great time travel series. Gemma is able to travel in time just like her family (mom, dad, brother, and sister) supposedly they use their power for good to save people along the way that need to be saved. They only make little ripples in time to do so, but Gemma is completely fooled into her way of life to realize that there is a lot more going on. As the series progresses Gemma has to realize the truth- which was very hard for her to accept. This was quite the adventure: time travel, finding love, loosing love, family deception,...

If I Should Die by Amy Plum Returning to a tale where you know the characters is always great. Vincent is gone and Kate is trying to rescue him. My kind of hero- don’t wait for the guy to save you. Action packed like the previous books- it kept moving quickly throughout. I kind of guessed the champion during a previous book and was correct when they finally figured it out. With people who die and reanimate it was no surprise to get the happily ever after ending to such a fun tale. A Temptation of Angels by Michelle Zink I don’t really read steam punk and this book was along those lines, so it took me...

Weeks Reads: Dragonfly Prophecy by Jacquelyn Castle I was just as lost as Lexi at the beginning and was wondering did she hear voices in her head, something paranormal or what. We soon got an answer and then more issues to resolve. Poor Lexi was stuck between two worlds. I was rooting for her to stay with her Aunt and Chase. Her parents had each other but her aunt only had her. And William- she just described him as too perfect. I never like the perfect male love interests. I like the more real ones like Chase (though even he was a bit unbelievable in power and status- at least he didn’t come off that...
