Rua by Miranda Kavi A COMPLETE STORY LINE- ahh finally. I liked how there was so much that happened- best part was this was a completed storyline: I have been finding that a lot of books think leaving a cliffhanger will get people to buy their next book and few authors try to make a complete story. This was a complete story. The author can make more books that will continue it to some extent, but the story in itself was finished. I VERY MUCH appreciate getting a complete story that leaves you feeling like the tale is complete. This chapter in her life is complete- it doesn’t mean there...

I have finished reading/editing the second book in the Blue Eyes trilogy for probably the tenth time. The question I have been getting now is, when is book 2 coming out? I’ve been working on book 2 since book 1 was with the editor. I finished the first draft in less than a month and have been rewriting and editing since. I’d love to release it tomorrow, but it is a process and takes time. I want to give the best product I can, so it will be a little wait. I am hoping for a June release date after it goes to the editor in May. I am also hoping to get book 3 out by this fall….. once we...

Ethereal by Addison Moore Moving to a new town normally sucks, but it is worse if you move into a house where the previous resident was taken and murdered. This book was a very easy read and kept clicking along nicely. Nothing was too hard to follow or distracting. The writing style was nice and easy read. I found myself easily drawn into the tale and wanting to continue to read. I found some of the story overdone- some things in YA seem a bit cliché by now: moving to a new town…mean clique girl cheerleaders… guys so handsome the protag drools over them…not one but two good looking guys….. this book...

Predestined by Abbi Glines Depth! We finally get some more answers. While I felt like the first book wrapped things up very well and left the reader without any major questions, (beyond the cliffhanger) this book showed that there was so much left unsaid. I didn’t even question any of it in the first book, but here you get answers. It was nice to be filled in on Pagen’s background. That is a great author that can leave you feeling happy with a book but at the same time have so many unanswered questions that you didn’t even know there were. Nice writing. By the end I was left wondering if Leif...
