Synopsis:
Devin thought his battle was won when he forbade the sidhe from using magic to hide their assassins. He thought that it would be easy to settle the score between the clans that had been brewing for decades. He was wrong. The clans refuse to stop killing each other, and have continued their battle covertly. This time they are employing tactics that don’t involve the assassins. Devin must find a way to make the elite sidhe get along if there is a chance to save them. He might even have to call in back-up in from a night human lycan, his best friend Turner Winter.
Nessa finds there is more to preparing for the coronation than she expected. She has to review and make judgment on the matters brought before the court, one of which includes a very pregnant Fiona. Rumor is spreading that Fiona is carrying the late king’s child, which would nullify Nessa’s claim to the throne. Decisions must be made, and quickly, as the coronation is only days away. And then there is the problem that the palace is not safe. Nessa has too much to do and not enough time. Can she make the right choices? Is it even safe to bring in the other tribes to her village? Are there any options left as time runs out? Coronation day is just around the corner- if they can make it on time.
