Review : Sacred Bloodlines by Wendy Owens
Gabe’s life has always been bad… bad things… evil things have always happened to those around him. In fact he is a bit of a magnet for evil. Turns out there is a reason why- he is a guardian, a force of good in the world. He has one week to decide which side of the battle he wants to help and if he wants the responsibility that comes with his new life.
This is a good twist on the angels versus demons storyline that is around. The angels are humans with angel blood. While they are good and forces to be reckoned with, they are not the almighty angels with wings that are in some stories. Gabe is whisked away by those willing to train, help, and love him unconditionally. It was nice to see the love unconditional part in the story as many main characters get stuck and can’t get out. At his new home he is given training to try to catch him up to speed on being a guardian. Good thing he was a natural otherwise the plot would have slowed tremendously!
For the adventure YA fantasy it is a good read.
Thank you so much for reading my book and taking the time to give a thoughtful review.
