Adria and her sister Alex move to Maine to live with their uncle after an encounter with dueling werewolves that makes child services suspect their mother’s boyfriend for beating them. As they try to move on with their lives. Alex grows distant from the shock of it but Adria begins to befriend some strange residents in their new town. Suddenly she finds she is in the middle of a werewolf battle where humans are just casts off and she is in love with one.
I like the characters or rather the wolves were all very nicely characterized. They were each distinct and kept true to their personalities. Her new friends (besides Harry) were a bit more shallow, but the werewolves were a good characterization. I liked all the differences and all the new people she met.
