Review: Paranormal Public by Maddy Edwards
I can’t put my finger on it but I like this book- I was not overly liking the main character or her friends, but there was just something about this book that kept me reading. Yes, that is a weird assessment, but I still cannot place my finger on what it was that kept me reading. By the end of the book I like all the characters and found it was a decent book- I just cannot describe why. I did find myself wanting to put this book down with to begin with. It just didn’t draw me into the story, but once I got into it enough, I liked the book. I like Edwards writing style and found the book entertaining. The cover didn’t catch my attention but since I liked the style writing of another one of her books, I decided to give this one a chance. Once you get into the story it is a fun read worth a chance for 99cents.
Review: Elemental Rising by Maddy Edwards
Seems the bad guy in the first book was not the only one trying to destroy paranormal public. Now there is a new committee there to pick the next principle along with strange going-ons sickening one whole race of paranormals. I liked that I already knew the characters- a second book is always nice because you already know everyone already and you can jump right into the story. There were a few new characters which is always nice. I also liked that Edwards doesn’t shove details down your throat as a reading making every plot twist super obvious. Some authors give away too much and you know what is coming, but Edwards doesn’t, which makes for a fun read. If you liked the first, you’ll like this one also!
